She is an active member of the Colorado Optometric Assn., having served on a children’s vision task force over the last year. She continues to take courses to keep up with the new technologies and treatments available today regarding laser vision surgery, cataracts, red eyes, glaucoma, and children’s vision. She is certified in the fitting and caring of the CRT contact lenses which are ones that you sleep in overnight so you don’t have to wear glasses or contacts during the day. She is married to Rick and they have three children, Alex, Rita, and Amy. Her hobbies include volleyball, golf, helping at the kids’ schools, and at St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
